The reason I post extensively about ‘black leaders’ is because they’re pushed as our leaders, black faces that supposedly are ‘fighting for our interests’, we have and are expected to support blindly. Those days are over and they’re not coming back. Young back voters only know black faces from Obama down to their local mayors/state reps. And their failures are theirs alone. The people they voted in. And are not the result of Republicans/white people they didn’t vote for.
Ditto for black Gen Xers whose life experience shows ‘any blue will do’, ‘representation’ and ‘agrmative action’ don’t work. Nor do Dem coalitions/umbrellas or terms like ‘people of color’ that lump blacks in with other groups they don’t share culture, religion or language, based solely on skin color.
Black voters are leading themselves and what scares Dems the most is there is no one movement to co-opt or jump out in front of…
