My plan was to get to Kevin Samuels today, but due to breaking news here on the homefront I will get to him tomorrow after Da Teachas live. John Muhammad resigned. And no, he didn’t resign because he realized he was unqualified or cared about how having an unqualified alderman in position hurt his ward, his resignation came a day before media reports announced he was under federal investigation for bribery.
I am not surprise, it wasn’t too long ago Bruce Franks Jr resigned after allegations of another grift, defrauding the SLATE program. I expressed concerns about both, along with other elected leaders out of the Ferguson movement including Rasheen Aldridge and Cori Bush. My issue was their lack of experience, lack of a black agenda and the fact that they are all controlled by the powers that be: establishment Dems, white progressives and/or the black misleadership class. And serve as mascots for these predatory nonprofits that flourished during/since Ferguson and worsened every issue they were funded to tackle, with zero metrics and no accountability. There’s a reason BLM was successful here doing what they tried and failed to do in Orlando hijacking the movement for Trayvon Martin. There’s a reason the grift began here. There’s a reason me and Darren’s warnings were ignored. Mofos are either on the take or they’re cowards.
Corruption in the region runs deep, having infested every institution. And with all these insestious political relationships its gonna take the feds. Former Governor Eric Greitens was forced to step down. Former County Executive Steve Stenger was just released from federal prison. Kim Gardner is waiting to her her punishment for prosecutorial misconduct so bad, the Grand Jury in an unprecedented move wrote a scathing letter to the disciplinary committee calling her behavior “reprehensible”. Trust, if they could indict her they would. Her disciplinary hearing received barely any coverage. They’re trying to give her pass. See? No conspiracy. The MO Supreme Court will decide her fate and we will find out how far up this suspect behavior goes.
Wesley Bell is named in a lawsuit filed by 2 young sistas who were confronted by Riverview Police. The same Wesley Bell that ran interference for Ferguson during the DOJ consent decree negotiations. Same Wesley Bell that cowered and refused to charge Darren Wilson or launch an investigation into the murder of Darren Seals.
Serving thee people can be very rewarding. Cori Bush got a $100,000 book deal and has spent over $300,000 on personal security while calling for defund. The President of the NAACP quit to go work for thee company he was supposed to be protesting.
I preface with all that to say John Muhammad is not an anomaly. And I don’t think he’s the last.
