Still on St. Louis where Kim Gardner is hell bent on inflicting as much damage on the region as possible on her way out the door. There is no path forward for Kim Gardner. Staying and having her incompetence put on display is fucking up any chance she had at cashing on false narratives depicting her as a reformer or salvaging her career. The MO Disciplinary Council created a monster when they slapped her on the wrist instead of revoking her license. She think she’s untouchable. And various forces are about to show her otherwise. Kim won’t go quietly. And her response to masses calling for her resignation has shown her to be everything I said she was and worse.
The mayor already looked upon skeptically after refusing to call for Kim Gardner’s resignation or vow to fight corruption in City Hall after former President of the BOA nd 2 alders were sentenced to federal prison after accepting plea deals for corruption is facing another crisis of her own as members of her civilian jail oversight committee are threatening to resign due to sabotage… at a time the city is fighting a state takeover of city police, a move welcomed among many along with the removal of Kim Gardner.
There is no leadership. Not in the mayor’s office. Not in the board of Aldermen. And not at the Circuit Attorney’s office. The is no faith in Dem establishment or progressive leaders. They all lost trust. None have the decency to step down so that the region can move beyond the last 10 years Again the region needs a reset. #FireThemAll
