☕ Morning fam,
Time is not on our side. We’re still walking around without a sense of urgency, resigned to suffer whatever consequence comes from inaction and doing nothing. Black boomers defeated after years of blind loyalty to party, chasing validation, putting their own political/professional/person ambitions before the good of the collective and fighting the wrong battles are cowering in the moment.
They are waiting for white men they claim are the problem come and fix their communities and cleanup their mess. THIS at a time the political landscape is changing and new orders are being ushered in.
We have no black agenda.
We are not on code.
We are not seizing the moment, being strategic or formulating a plan.
We are not bracing for impact.
We talk big, then shrink/go mia/bury our heads in the sand/play dumb/get indignant about being held to account when the moment dictate we get off our knees.
While our competition watche/waits for us to self destruct.
