John Muhammad pled guilty, marking a real beginning point of turning the region around. No one should be surprised, by the time the Feds get atchu its game over, lights out. Check and mofo’in mate. Expect a similar plea from Lewis Reed… and Jeffrey Boyd to croon like Keith Sweat because he’s facing additional time for engaging in insurance fraud. Allegedly.
Its gonna take a lot more than 3 guilty pleas to eradicate the corruption that has rotten the region to its core. Where are the calls for internal/external, investigations and audits by regional leaders? And pledges to fight corruption within their ranks and in the Dem Party? In City Hall? The Mayor’s Office? The Board of Aldermen? The Circuit Attorney’s Office? The County Council? The County Exec’s Office? Within the County Prosecutor’s Office? And both the Board of Election Commissioners and the Board of Elections in St. Louis County… Given everything we’ve seen since Ferguson and the depth of widespread unchecked corruption that has plagued the region for decades and infested every institution, everybody is suspect.
Toldja during Ferguson it wasn’t just the police, they were simply taking orders. That the bigger problem was corruption within the party that controlled the police and law enforcement… and within these predatory orgs. And that it would take the feds.
The irony is that they invited the Feds in winning a bid for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, an arm of the Defense Department, “a secret government agency that played a critical role in the hunt for Osama bin Laden“. -PD
