Y’all know I hate talking about St. Louis, it’s like beating a dead horse but St. Louis keeps making me make time. Woke up to texts about
Cori Bush’s husband Cortney Merritts being indicted for PPP loan fraud. Not surprised… I remember when I first saw this photo… their body language looked off. She’s smiling with joy and he looks like he’s there to ride the bandwagon until the wheels fall off…
This is me speculating, I don’t know him and haven’t spoken to Cori in years. We were cool at one point, that seems like a whole lifetime ago. I hate to see her going through this… I really do, don’t forget she’s already under investigation for putting him on the payroll for security despite paying another firm hundreds of thousands of dollars for the same services. The investigation started under Biden’s DOJ, now her fate lies in the hands of the President she voted 2x to impeach and called “White Supremacist In Chief”.
I lost count of how many times over the years I cautioned movement folks about getting in bed with the Dem Party and these grifting assed orgs many of which are still eating off the murder of Mike Brown.
When you’re in the movement they come for you in a lotta ways… when you join them they give you just enough rope to hang yourself.
Was this a honeypot trap? I wouldn’t be surprised. At all.
This wasn’t AIPAC, AIPAC just wanted her gone and had they done any research they coulda saved themselves money spent targeting her because St. Louis had enough of Cori and the powers that be sent in serial candidate/position hopper Wesley Bell to take her out. There’s dirt on him.
And they can take him out at anytime.
