Tyre Nichols is what happens when you chase representation rather than justice. It’s almost like Ferguson and the last 8 1/2 years never happened. We got change, but not the change we wanted. Change for the worse and not the better. The face/race of police brutality changed, now it’s black, not white. The gender of the overseers has changed from male to female, in some cases identity from straight/hetero to gay/lgbtq. The movement changed from being spearheaded by the grassroots to being led by controlled opposition. And the quest for justice was replaced by chasing a bag.
Now they’re all back.
Exactly what I #toldja would happen. At this point it is no longer about not listening in the past, it’s about degrees of losing and the ramifications of not listening moving forward.
