Don’t be fooled with talk about dodging a bullet, the Dem Party is in serious trouble and are either completely oblivious to or have grown so accustomed to believing their own bullshit they don’t see that the handwriting on the wall is actually a mural, their RIP. They’re done, dying a loooong, slow, painful death. There’s only so much ‘fortifying’ an election and mail in ballots can do. After the fuckery we’re seeing in midterms both have run their course. Dem voters, tired of tricknology want solutions and policies that speak to their needs, not empty victories that keep with the status quo, produce more of the same or worse.
Dem voters are fleeing the part in droves. They lost white suburban women, latinos, independents and a huge enough chuck of their black base they can no longer win nationally. This is the reason they’re struggling in Georgia, a state they made much ado about turning blue just 1 election cycle ago. Abrams, credited with turning Georgia blue got her ass handed to her losing this time to Brian Kemp by a larger vote count than her last defeat. And the reason Warnock couldn’t defeat Herschel Walker in the general and is facing a runoff. Both stood on King’s legacy and both were rejected by black voters, specifically black men. And that’s not gonna change in the runoff.
Miami Dade, once a blue stronghold turning red is just the beginning. That should have been a wake up call. There will be a domino effect. And they have no one to blame but themselves.
