Misery politics. I’ve made no qualms about how I feel about elections, especially elections in one of most corrupt and dysfunctional regions in the nation.
Don’t be fooled by the talk or hype. Voter apathy was high, voter turnout low. We are told to believe voters fleeing the region in droves, stopped long enough to fill out ‘no excuse’ mail in ballot on their way out the door and to disregard the absentee ballot hustle exposed in the Dem Party just a few election cycles ago that resulted in the election of Bruce Franks out of the protest movement that resulted in him resigning in scandal.
No, nothing to see here…
Missouri has a new auditor, no talk about 2 previous auditors that were found dead under suspicious circumstances. Cori Bush coasted to re-election by default, the black misleadership class ran a 2x accused rapist against her, nobody thought that was a bad idea. The feds are here investigating St. Louis City and County governments. An investigation has already resulted in guilty pleas from the President of the Board of Aldermen Lewis Reed, Ald Jeffrey Boyd, Ald John Muhammad also out of the protest movement and county operative/Sam Page appointee Tony Weaver who oversaw St. Louis County’s deadly jail. Megan Green, the new President of BOA is on the very board being investigated. Same is true for County executive Sam Page, his admin and the county council are under federal investigation.
I can’t even say the bar is low, there is no bar. No standards. No morals, several convictions tho, going back to Steve Stenger. Misery politics, like the region is literally a radioactive, atomic dump, with fire burning underneath.
And according to ‘no excuse’ mail in ballots, voters want more.
