☕Morning fam,
St. Louis is a whole hot mess, what happens when movements are co-opted, compromised leadership is installed, nonprofits are used to funnel money and politicians are allowed to mislead/sellout/exploit with impunity. Its hard to believe this is the reality not even a decade post Mike Brown. You would never know Ferguson happened if not all the orgs that got millions or the people whose careers were built off the death of Mike Brown.
Mike Brown never got justice, the community didn’t get change for the better, the old white guard remains in tact, pulling strings behind the scene, black misleadership politics is dead while progressives, the hijackers and those pretend fighting for change, all of which lack vision, are completely disconnected from the issues/people they claim to serve and are utterly clueless are running the yard.
We’ve seen clergy leave their flocks and go against their religious teachings to push the agendas of their financial backers. We’ve seen a president of the NAACP resign and go work the opposition. We’ve seen protesters turned elected leaders get indicted, sentenced to prison and/or resign in scandal. We’ve seen short sighted, not well thought out ‘reform’ produce disastrous results, even deaths. Rememba, we were told was all the cost of reform.
We also saw the absentee ballot hustle get exposed resulting is an election overturned… with everything else swept under the rug. To challenge any of this is to be called a conspiracy theorist.
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I don’t think people are voting for more of the same…
