10 years post Ferguson…. St. Louis is a whole mess… things are so bad that at this point the lesser evil is just to let it all go up in smoke and rebuild on the ashes, not literally and no pun intended.
The region is where it finds itself because of corruption stemming from 1 party Dem rule, no checks & balances and lack of accountability that is so deeply ingrained in every institution that it would take decades/generations to weed out all the bad actors and change the culture.
The movement is essentially dead for the same reasons… because movement folks (not all) got in bed with the Dem Party instead of holding Dem leaders accountable. Nobody wanted to call out the grift, instead they joined in becoming elected Democrats, professional actorvists and paid protesters… Again not all but if you think I’m talking about you I probably am. #HitDogsHolla
Nothing changes because money allocated to fix problems is never used to actually fix problems. It simply vanishes into the coffers of shady developers or grifting assed orgs and clergy.
They got this shit on lock because they perfected the art of convincing the masses that the reason their lives suck and they can’t have nice things is because of Republicans, people they don’t vote for and don’t control shit in the hood.
I will say, I’m happy they put black faces on it, so now people see black Dems are no better than the white ones they were voted in to replace, just worse in a different way.
