A horrifying viral video out of East Harlem shows a 14-year-old boy violently attacking a 15-year-old girl after she allegedly refused to give him her phone number. The attack was brutal, disturbing, and heartbreaking. Wed are not going to show it hee.
But this story is bigger than one violent teen.
In this episode, I’m reacting as a mother, as a Christian, and as someone who understands what happens when children are raised without discipline, without accountability, without fathers, and without a proper fear of consequences.
We are watching a culture where parents blame the school, blame the police, blame the government, blame the victim — but refuse to look in the mirror. The home is the first line of defense against evil in the heart of a child. Parents are supposed to teach restraint, boundaries, discipline, respect, and the meaning of the word “no.”
The government is not your child’s father.
The school system is not your child’s mother.
And we do not share custody of our children with the government.
