Ben Crump has moved from Mississippi to Madison, Wisconsin, where he is demanding criminal charges against the police officer who shot Corey Ruiz during a violent struggle.
Police say Ruiz fled after officers approached him regarding reports of suspicious activity around parked vehicles. According to authorities, Ruiz produced a knife and injured an officer during the struggle before that officer opened fire. Crump and Ruiz’s family argue that the shooting amounted to excessive force and are demanding accountability.
But the investigation is not finished.
