Black Disabled People Must Continue To Create Our Own Theories etc..

Once again, I’m realizing at age fifty something as a Black disabled activist/artist/critical thinker that mostly the ideologies, philosophies, theories and political education in the disability community has come from majority White disabled activists, academic scholars and White institutions with one exception, Disability Justice that I had the opportunity to be there when Sins Invalid came up with DJ however because of Black ableism we never had a chance to get DJ deeply into the Black community.

Today in my Ph.D. studies I am trying to Krip Black movements, Theories and arts/music aka the Black culture. I have been creating terminologies like Afro-Krip to Black Ableism and twenty more. Now I understand why the Black community constantly falls behind when it comes to disability thus we must continue to Krip Black theories and movements and at the same time lean on our Black disabled ancestors and create our own new theories, philosophies, music arts etc..

If we don’t we will continue to ask for inclusion not liberation.

So that’s my goals for my Ph.D. studies and my goal for he rest of my life is to bring disability Justice and Krip-Hop into the Black community locally and internationally.

Peace
