House Speaker Mike Johnson is pushing to end a month-long stalemate around foreign aid packages as calls grow for him to resign. This week, he announced the House would vote separately on aid for Israel and Ukraine. The latter has received major pushback from the Republican Party.
The strategy was met with severe criticism from his colleagues, including Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, who joined Marjorie Taylor Greene’s motion to unseat Speaker Johnson.
