Not the party that controls everything in their community. That controls crime, the court system, law enforcement, jails, schools and the whole election process that keeps them in power. And def not the party of slavery, the Klan and Jim Crow. Cognitive dissonance is very real.

What we’re dealing with is widespread corruption. And we’re not gonna vote our way out of this. It isn’t enough to impeach or allow wrongdoers to resign. No more qualified immunity for elected leaders. Accountability must include arrest and prosecution when warranted. The days of willful compromise, grift and criminality are over.
