Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) sparked controversy by telling a Daily Caller reporter, Myles Morrell, to “f–k off” after he asked her outside the U.S. Capitol whether more Democrats should visit El Salvador to support deported alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Morrell, who identified himself as a journalist, posted a 20-second video of the encounter online, which quickly went viral. Omar doubled down on her remarks on social media, refusing to apologize and further attacking critics. Multiple Democratic lawmakers have recently traveled to El Salvador to advocate for Abrego Garcia’s release, causing political tensions, especially among Republicans.
