Mumia is arguably the most popular Black Political Prisoner in the United States and quite possibly the world. 41 years he has been held captive in Pennsylvania prisons, including two decades spent on death row. Despite evidence and witnesses that contradict the events that took place December 9, 1981, Mumia was convicted of murdering a police officer at a Philadelphia street corner.
Since Mumia Abu Jamal’s incarceration he has authored numerous best selling books.
