On January 24, 2024 a fight between two city council members turned physical. Riviera Beach City Council members Doug Lawson and Tradrick McCoy got into a fight after a city hall meeting in Riviera Beach, FL.
It all started at a council meeting when Tradrick raised concerns about fecal matter being in the city’s water supply. But Doug interrupted Tradrick saying that there were not enough council members present to vote about the issue.
Tradrick kept talking and a bitter exchange began. After the meeting, Tradrick approached Doug in the hallway and expressed that Doug disrespected him.
