Al Sharpton says he is leading another March on Washington to “defend the vote.” But defend it from what?
Black Americans are not being prohibited from registering. We are not being barred from polling places. We are not being denied the opportunity to select our representatives.
What Sharpton and the Democratic establishment are really afraid of is losing their ability to manipulate congressional districts, manufacture racial panic, and convince Black voters that every political defeat is the result of racism.
In this episode, I explain why elections are determined by policy—not simply skin color. Black Republicans such as Tim Scott can win statewide elections because voters respond to their ideas. Meanwhile, Democrats want you to believe that Black candidates can only succeed when politicians construct majority-Black districts around them.
