Mayor Johnson and CTU Presisent Gates Are Destroying Chicago — WHEN WILL BLACK VOTERS WAKE UP?

Chicago has a serious financial and leadership problem—and taxpayers are being asked to pay the bill.

Chicago Public Schools is currently dealing with a $732 million budget deficit, while a revised budget proposal still leaves roughly 1,600 positions at risk, including more than 700 teachers.

At the same time, Chicago continues to face major financial pressures involving pensions, debt, revenue and its structural budget deficit.

So here’s the question:

When does “we need more money” stop being an answer?

In this episode of The David Seaton Show, I examine the political relationship between Mayor Brandon Johnson and Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Davis Gates, the continuing financial demands placed on taxpayers, the performance of Chicago Public Schools, and the willingness of voters to continue supporting politicians despite disappointing results.

And I’m going to have an uncomfortable conversation about Black voters.

This isn’t about telling Black voters who to vote for.

It’s about asking whether results should matter more than racial identity and political affiliation.

If you believe politicians should be held accountable for what they actually accomplish—not what they promise—this conversation is for you.
