BLACK AMERICA: RED VS. BLUE IS THE DISTRACTION

In 1848, British Prime Minister Lord Palmerston made a statement that still shapes politics today:

“There are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, only permanent interests.”

In this episode of The Publisher’s Desk, Damon K. Jones explores why that principle may be one of the most important political lessons Black America needs to understand.

Why are Black Americans constantly told to focus on Republicans when many Black communities have been governed by the same local political leadership for decades?

Why do politicians demand loyalty but resist accountability?

Why do many of the people with the most money and influence seem to benefit regardless of which party wins?

And what does the Bible mean when it warns about “spiritual wickedness in high places”?

This is not a Republican-versus-Democrat conversation.

This is a conversation about interests, accountability, power, outcomes, and the future of Black America.

It’s time to stop measuring politics by speeches, slogans, and party labels.

It’s time to start measuring politics by results.

In this video:

• The history behind Lord Palmerston’s famous political statement
• Why politics is a transactional sport
• How power protects itself regardless of party
• Why local politics matters more than most people realize
• The danger of emotional politics
• What Ephesians 6:12 teaches about power and corruption
• Why Black America must focus on interests instead of political loyalty
• A practical action plan for building Black political power

The question is simple:

What are Black America’s permanent interests?
