Cartel kingpin killed: Mexico’s most-wanted cartel boss and head of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes, was killed alongside eight other cartel members in a Mexican military operation aided by US intelligence support. Twenty-five members of Mexico’s National Guard died during attacks in the state of Jalisco.
