BLACK AMERICA: If You Hate Trump, Why Celebrate BET?

For years, we’ve watched celebrities, businesses, and public figures face criticism or boycotts because of their perceived support for Donald Trump or the Republican Party. At the same time, the BET Awards remain one of the biggest celebrations in Black entertainment.
This video asks a simple question:
Should the same standards apply to corporations and media companies as they do to individuals?
We examine:
Who owns BET today
The Ellison family’s business and political connections
Political boycotts and consumer consistency
Celebrity culture versus economic principles
Whether ownership should matter more than branding
The difference between symbolic activism and economic activism
This conversation is not about telling anyone who to support politically. It is about asking whether we apply our principles consistently when politics, entertainment, and business intersect.
After watching, let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Do political beliefs influence where you spend your money? Should they?
Let’s have a respectful conversation based on facts.
