# MUSLIM POLITICIANS, BLACK AMERICA & THE RISE OF WHITE NATIONALISM
🔥 **FULL DESCRIPTION**
In this episode of **Dennis Spurling Unfiltered**, Uncle D (Dennis Spurling) examines the rise of Muslim politicians within the Democratic Party, including Zohran Mamdani in New York and Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan. Black Americans have supported Democrats for generations, but does sharing a political party mean sharing the same interests? Uncle D examines election polling, longstanding tensions between Black Detroit residents and Arab American merchants, and the political differences between foundational Black Americans and Black immigrants.
We examine **flat Blackness**, a concept developed by Dr. T. Hasan Johnson, and why delineation matters when discussing Black American lineage, culture, and political interests. Drawing on Dr. Amos Wilson and Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, Uncle D explores the relationship between culture, religion, racism, and political power. The discussion includes the Arab and trans-Saharan slave trades, anti-Black discrimination in parts of the Arab world, and the experiences of Afro-Palestinians.
We also expose the Ku Klux Klan’s history as a **pyramid-style money-making operation that profited from White racial fear**. The broadcast follows America’s racial backlash from colonial Virginia through Reconstruction, the Great Migration, Tulsa, the civil rights movement, Barack Obama, the Tea Party, MAGA, and today’s White nationalist movements. Finally, we examine the Crusades and how Christian and Muslim rulers used religion, territory, and cultural survival to justify centuries of warfare.
**The central question: Who benefits from political power?** Uncle D examines why party labels, religion, racial identity, and campaign promises can’t substitute for a candidate’s actual record, policies, and results.
