The Jackson County grand jury has spoken in the Nolan Wells case — unanimously returning a “no true bill,” meaning no criminal indictments will be issued based on the evidence presented.
But the story isn’t over. District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath didn’t simply announce the grand jury’s findings. She directly challenged several narratives that spread nationally about Nolan’s disappearance and death and accused outside activists and influencers of exploiting this tragedy.
Vince breaks down the DA’s statement, the grand jury findings, the role of Ben Crump and Al Sharpton, and the larger question of what happens when allegations of racial violence spread before the evidence has been established.
Meanwhile, Nolan Wells’ family and legal team maintain that serious questions remain about his death.
