Once the Lindsay Clancy holdout juror’s race became public, the coverage changed. NBC10 ran an investigation into his personal history, a 2021 domestic assault charge that was later dismissed, a restraining order filed by his nephew, and an eviction judgment over unpaid rent.
All framed as reasons he shouldn’t have been on the jury.
I’m breaking down why this reads as a doxing campaign against a Black man for exercising independent judgment, and the glaring hypocrisy in who gets this kind of media treatment: Black jurors got dismissed outright in the Carmelo Anthony case with no outcry, while white men who commit violence and cite mental illness get far more public sympathy than either this juror or Jordan Neely ever did.
