@LilDurk defense team has filed a 25-page motion asking a federal judge to either sever the new RICO charges into a separate trial — or dismiss the Third Superseding Indictment entirely on speedy trial grounds.
The argument: after nearly two years preparing to defend a Los Angeles murder-for-hire case, the government filed a superseding indictment weeks before trial that added a VICAR racketeering murder charge, a stalking conspiracy, and allegations spanning multiple states. The defense says they were handed roughly a terabyte of new discovery and told to be ready anyway.
