Violence, Teen Takeovers & Leadership: A Conversation Chicago Needs

Chicago continues to face serious challenges with violent crime, public safety, and highly publicized teen takeovers. Residents, business owners, and visitors are asking the same question:

How does the city restore order while creating a safer future for everyone?

In Part 2 of this ongoing series, David Seaton welcomes back Alleece Baker, KeLynn Hill, and Rajja Reeves—three young Black conservative women offering their perspectives on some of Chicago’s most pressing issues.

In this episode, they discuss:

Chicago’s ongoing violence and its impact on neighborhoods
Teen takeovers and their effects on businesses, families, and tourism
The role of parents, schools, community organizations, and elected officials
Social media’s influence on youth behavior
Accountability, prevention, and opportunities for young people
Practical ideas they believe could help improve public safety and strengthen communities

Rather than simply describing the problems, this conversation explores different viewpoints on responsibility, leadership, and possible solutions for Chicago’s future.

Whether you agree or disagree, we invite respectful discussion in the comments.

What do you believe is the most effective way to reduce violence and prevent teen takeovers in Chicago?
