Don’t be fooled by the term Democrat Socialist. There is nothing Democratic about socialism, just like there’s nothing democratic about the Democratic Party. Socialism sounds good, but as practiced around the world is basically you giving up your rights and the government controlling everything. That’s what Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are not telling you.
Think of the things government already controls like SNAP, welfare, Social Security… think about the ineffectiveness, the incompetence, the fraud, the grift… in the federal government. In state government. In local government. Do you really want to hand those people more power?
Government is not the solution. Government is the problem.
