St. Louis is making me make time. And OMG where do I begin? I guess with a disclaimer… When I talk about St. Louis I mean city & county. I don’t play the “we’re the city” or “we’re the county” bs, St. Louis is ONE metropolitan area. And to people that don’t live here, it is one and the same.
The city is the nucleus… or at least it’s supposed to be. The fact that St. Louis City doesn’t reside in St. Louis County is a convo for another day… It is what it is: 2 competing regions (plus numerous municipalities and wards). Too many thiefdoms. Too many chiefs. Too many inept/incompetent betas in position. Too much corruption. Too much arrogance, ego and pride. And too many turning a blind eye.
All stemming from decades of 1 party rule, not Republicans, MAGA or Trump.
The problem is the Dem Party machine.
And few are willing to go against it.
