The Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday morning is holding a hearing on the GOP’s probe into former President Biden’s mental acuity.
The hearing comes weeks after audio of Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur during the classified documents investigation was leaked by Axios and later released by the Justice Department (DOJ). The interview shows the former president appearing to have memory lapses and having a hard time staying on track.
President Trump earlier this month also called on the DOJ to launch an investigation and the House Oversight Committee is also looking at Biden’s mental fitness.
It also comes after the former Democratic president was diagnosed with prostate cancer and as Trump and other Republicans have criticized his autopen use close to the end of his term.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m.
