Carmelo Anthony received a 35-year prison sentence for the stabbing death of Austin Metcalf, and now many people are asking the obvious question: how did the family’s public strategy, racial narrative, questionable advocates, and lack of remorse impact the outcome?
From Dominique Alexander to Charleston White to self-appointed legal voices online, this case became a full-blown grifter circus. Instead of humility, wisdom, remorse, and accountability, the public saw race-baiting, fundraising, victimhood, and people seemingly using this tragedy for clout and cash.
This is not just about one criminal case. This is about what happens when pride replaces repentance, race hustling replaces truth, and bad counsel leads a family into deeper destruction.
