Morning fam, Lots of blame going around in St. Louis about the tornado warning system not being deployed when a category 3 tornado touched down in last week with Tishaura apologists blaming current mayor Cara Spenser. Yes ultimately she is responsible and the buck stops with her, but the blame is not hers alone. Sarah Russell was appointed Commissioner of CEMA in 2021 under Mayor Tishaura Jones. ? Morning fam, St. Louis’ frail infrastructure was hit Friday by a Cat 3 tornado which resulted in loss of lives, 4400+ buildings damaged/destroyed and over a billion dollars in damage. The new mayor, former city alderwoman of 10 years Cara Spencer said the tornado warning system wasn’t deployed “due to confusion over who was responsible for activating them in such a situation.” The mayor and the entire Board of Aldermen should resign.
