Diquan Hunt has reportedly been accused of attacking women seemingly at random, and his extensive history of arrests raises a much bigger conversation about public safety, mental instability, repeat offenders, and accountability.
In this episode, we’re having a conversation that too often gets avoided. We have to be willing to confront criminality within the Black community when it occurs, examine the policies we vote for, and ask whether those policies are actually making our communities safer. At what point do repeated arrests, untreated mental-health issues, and a revolving-door justice system become a danger to innocent people?
This isn’t about blaming an entire community for the actions of individuals. It’s about accountability, protecting innocent people, and being willing to address uncomfortable problems instead of ignoring them.
