Everybody argues about the culture war in entertainment. Almost nobody talks about how it ends. That’s what this video is.
First I define my terms, because ninety percent of the arguing online is two people using the same word to mean different things. Then how we actually got here, including the part people skip: the complaints came from real fans who had spent years and thousands of dollars on this stuff. Then what a post-woke world actually looks like, which is not one side winning.
I take on the three objections I know are coming. That I’m describing surrender. That I want people to abandon what they grew up with. And from the other direction, that this is a way of telling critics to shut up. I’m also honest about my own side, because a video preaching charity that never turns the lens inward isn’t worth making.
Then three things anybody can do, none of which require somebody else’s permission.
The short version: the culture war runs on attention, and attention is voluntary. It doesn’t end with a victory. It ends when enough people quietly stop showing up for it and go find the thing they actually like.
