First post of the year about St. Louis and the state of the region. No good news to report. A lil over a decade post Ferguson and everything is worse. EVERYTHING. Instead of change progressives ran on, more of the same corruption, finger pointing and grift that has defined the past decade.
Same party and many of the same people in control. PoLIEtricks has been reduced to a game of musical chairs with life long career politicians gunning for seats until they are termed out, then they go work for lobbyists whose interests they advocated for during their tenure.
And when new people are introduced to the mix, they are as incompetent/corrupt as those we took to the streets to replace.
When those are from out of town or out of state they don’t last because by the time they realize they’re being set up as scapegoats they already got one foot out the door.
#Toldja the only change that would come from this crop of regional leaders would be for the worse. #Toldja about getting in bed with them instead of fighting them. #Toldja about following/propping up movement folks they use against us… while everybody else was blowing smoke up your asses.
