"YOU PEOPLE" Search: Got my OWN mic, stage, key, seat & door! by Marshata Caradine

NEVER SAY NEVER

NEVER SAY NEVER

I have lost a lot of people in my life that’s close to me and NEVER had the desire to go to the cemetery after the burial.

Revisiting the graveside was strange and crazy to me and I made a vow to NEVER go and “talk” to a headstone or dirt.

NEVER SAY NEVER

I made the kids feel bad because I just didn’t see the point in going to see their dad, after all he wasn’t there but they taught me, it was what they needed to heal and go on without him. I had no idea the three went often, after all why share it with me, I was against it, right?

As long as you live, you will do two things, stay stagnant or grow.

Every season, level, chapter, stage or round provides opportunities for growth or we can choose to remain ignorant and stagnant.

Yesterday after church, I dropped Mar off at the Dome to meet up with Chelle. I was heading home but ended up at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

NEVER SAY NEVER

I needed to visit MOMMA BOND. I had no idea where she was, just like it wasn’t planned 2 months ago, it wasn’t planned yesterday so my head was cloudy.

My life has two centers school and church.
I saw headstones of people from both all in the same area. I saw names from elementary school, middle school, high school and churches that I was affiliated.

People who crossed paths with me

People who touched my life

People who taught me

People who prayed over me

People who laughed with me

People I knew through other people
.
They were all around MOMMA BOND.

Tamika Long and her family were there putting balloons down for her dad.

She showed me how to look up the graveside and walked with me to locate MOMMA BOND.

Soil was fresh, swelled and unbelievable to me……

Right now I am saying this is my last time going out there but one thing for sure, I KNOW for a fact that MOMMA BOND is around a disciplined, caring, giving, service rendering, eclectic and compassionate group of people that graced our 89Blocks and made our village, made our community, understood their tribe and protected our hood and we were ours.

Daddy had an On Time Word for me about FAITH.

Oversight

Foresight
Aspect
Insight
Translation
Hindsight

After leaving Daddy, he taught me all of those words above and today I am ready to return back into the classroom full of keen sightedness.

Yep, NEVER SAY NEVER!
