"YOU PEOPLE" Search: Got my OWN mic, stage, key, seat & door! by Marshata Caradine

Just In Case!

There were a plenty of days I stopped by Momma Bond house and she was sitting in her sacred space with her plastic bags all around her and she would be filling them up.

One day, I just decided to ask her what are you doing Momma Bond, she said I am filling up bags just in case the cheerin or kids come by, they won’t have to buy these items and when I say say she covered everything from headaches, coughs, etc.

Then she had an overabundance of tissue, paper towel, soap, etc. I. The basement.

She even offered me some and I never wanted to act like my husband didn’t put us first or take care of us, or that we were in need so I always turned it down, this one time she had HIM to go downstairs and get a bag full of cherishables.

Overtime I learned what family was like

Overtime I learned what being hospitable was like

Overtime I learned what the village was about

Overtime I learned to see my family clearly

Overtime I learned what exceedingly, ABUNDANTLY and above all we could ask or think was about

Overtime I learned what unconditional love was about

Overtime, I never dreamed that our time would be over

So just in case, I am elated she allowed me to pour into her just as much as she poured into me.

Plastic and Paper Bags are recyclables, JUST IN CASE.
