It’s time for Black Americans to accept some hard truths and have serious conversations. And miss me with the “white folks watching” as the excuse for not having these conversations.
I’ve been calling for us to build our own social media SINCE FERGUSON so we would do so without white gaze and big brother watching, but y’all refuse to build.
Y’all don’t want black social media where we can organize/mobilize. Y’all wanna be all up in white folks faces, airing every grievance and crashing out on their screens… thinking y’all doing something.
You are, but not what you think. You’re showing them that crying about not being loved and doing so in their faces is more important to you than building.
You’re showing them that you can’t control you emotions.
You’re showing them that you’re stuck in the trick bag and can’t work your way out of it.
You’re like the ex still seeking attention, can’t get a grip and won’t let go despite your spouse moving on.
Thinking you’re doing something.
